Bingo...and Jared is right again. Plan is to pull the anemic 5.3 and put in a low mileage Ly6 which already has the L92 heads. I would do cam and exhaust work with your exsisting heads. Plus the usual tuning of injectors,computer etc.. My V-Max 6.0 pings on less than 92 octane.

The LS3/L92/LY6/L99/L76 all have the same cast style heads. The valves and springs are different among them. Basically anything after 2007 6.0L or bigger has the L92 square port heads. (save for HO stuff LS9/LS7/LSA). The 4.8/5.3 after that got the 243/799 LS6/LS2 heads.
