WebOct 26, 2024 · Things would only be worse now if you slowed down the pump. So that tells me a few things. One, you might be fighting a bog due to too much fuel in the first place rather than lean. Two, you have got some fuel control values set too high, such as the accel pump and fast accel pump, to start. WebJun 9, 2024 · In order to reduce the engine speed, the first thing we need to do is to close the curb idle position of the butterflies. Do this by slightly by turning the primary idle speed screw out (counter-clockwise) about a half turn. This should slow the engine down. Then shut the engine off long enough for the TPS to reset.

I have readjusted valves with the engine running to eliminate an overtightened exhaust valve. Firing order double checked.

All of them eventually should be at the same setting. Adjust the highest temp ACCEL 10 points up and drive the car. You can keep increasing 10 until it goes away or bogs down.
