WebOdd, it shouldn't be all blue. Sometimes I get that if a planet has a lot of life or geological sites but switching filters usually alleviates that. For some reason you can only change filters in the surface scanner mode though. Bit jank if you ask me but it works. You could shoot pieces off them same as geological formations, but the spawns had different names. The materials you got were the same.
